Noticed around Bay City

I did some flying around Bay City last night, checking out some of the Linden builds. There's been some doings lately.

1. The new waterway north of Docklands and Daley Bay now includes a small dock. No rezzing there, unfortunately. This may still be in th' works. It's a pretty, quiet, scenic spot.

2. The ruins/cave/etc under the water a couple regions over from the above (chickipe region? Someting like that) appear to be complete. At least, no additional work has been done on it for a couple weeks. I *hope* we'll see some more underwater activity in some of those openspaces.

3. In Moose Beach, it appears as if the entire region is now open for rezzing, with a 20 minute auto return. There is a modern rock stream region-wide, as well. The outlying boat dock also has a free Linden sail boat. If some control could be had over the stream, then this area would be all-but-set for events. 4. At Café Deco, a modern urban pop station has been put on the stream, and a Café Deco coffee is now available from the counter. It also has build and scripts enabled (20 minute auto return again) – so this location could now be used for some informal uses. The coffee helps fulfill http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/MISC-1681

5. At the New Port Yacht Club, the slips are all marked for their rental. The lottery winners should be announced today, so look for boats and seaplanes for sale hitting this site in the next couple. I note, too, that a bottle of alcohol (that gives a shot) and a Linden Cola (which, sadly, does not give itself) is also within the club. Cool.. thanks for doing this tour, Mari. It seems I can add a region to my BCC Map now.... the norther shore was a little hard on rezzing before....

I think getting a temporary control over the music stream should be a possibility. At least we should pose that option to the responsible Lindens... it could be done over a music changer object that lets you announce a url on a channel... which would be rezzed by someone with land changing abilities (a mole...) and would have a unique channel to talk on only for that event.. only known to the people involved. by that nobody would have to be given any rights... and it could all be put back to normal just by de-rezzing the object.
