Now that the Flea Market is behind us, it's been suggested we begin to think about the Hau Koda Info Hub. As a result, I've put together some of the ideas previously submitted for the hub.

AIRPORT PROPOSAL:

Given the location of Hau Koda, along the water's edge, in relatively low lying land, and near both the Bay City airship mooring and the Gulf of Lauren, a mid-century airstrip would make for a good theme. Assuming the current terraforming, a small strip (dirt ...

One issue has come up in Bay City a couple of times, and sometimes in dramatic fashion. The issue of zoning and covenants is a contentious one, but without such, we continually run into issues. With this in mind I would propose an informal set of zoning guidelines, along the following lines (and thanks to the initial LDPW write ups about Bay City and the 01/19/03 Boardman Zoning Guidelines for inspiration).
No, I don't mean the LDPW, but perhaps some friends of theirs. I've been noticing some odd visitors at the Bay City Ball Machine.

http://www.sluniverse.com/pics/pic.aspx?id=327666

At first, I just noticed one mole there, but now there's 3.

http://www.sluniverse.com/pics/pic.aspx?id=327667

And it looks like they're planning something.

Has anybody had any trouble with these critters invading their Bay City builds?

So I found myself with some spare time today and thought I would pull off my ice rink and tree idea sooner rather than later (the holidays have a tendency to sneak up on me).

The tree still has to be decorated but I think that can wait, maybe do a tree lighting ceremony like was suggested at the meeting on Sunday. Im not sure if I will have time to do an actual event but if someone wanted organize it I could probably set up the mechanics of the actual lighting. Or I can just quietly light ...

1. The new waterway north of Docklands and Daley Bay now includes a small dock. No rezzing there, unfortunately. This may still be in th' works. It's a pretty, quiet, scenic spot.

2. The ruins/cave/etc under the water a couple regions over from the above (chickipe region? Someting like that) appear to be complete. At least, no additional work has been done on it for ...

He suggested to put out a newspaper for Bay City.

Now.. there are a few newspapers in world.. some are on the web.. and not all of them are good... or necessary.

In SL:

As I said, I live in Tanelorn, in the tall tower. As you can tell from the adjoining helipads, aircraft hangar and runway, aviation is one of my big passions in Second Life. I routinely fly planes all across the continent.

I dislike teleporting and avoid it whenever possible. For me, it ...

Hi..

I changed the "Suggestions" category into "Bay City topics" ... to better accomodate for the two forum topics Mari suggested, which I thought make a lot of sense. So right there.. additionally to the older forums already there.. you can now find a forum on general discussion on Bay City and one on theme & Design.

The general discussion should accomodate everything that covers the whole of BC and whatever we think is notable to comment on or to know... theme & ...

Welcome dear friends and neighbours.

I set up this forum hoping that we will this way have an effective space to get our activities organized.

The categories I set up and the forums therein are mere suggestions, please tell me if you think any changes are appropriate.

I am still struggling with the administrative part of this, so please be patient if it doesn't all run smoothly *G

Greetings

Kirachan

LL has opened th' newest major city-type build, Nautilus, located between the Nautilus and Satori continent. It's also nicely themed, this time with some prefab structures too. Downside? It's as uncovenanted as Bay City, so who knows what'll happen there. Also like the city by the bay, it lacks a hub.

(Reported and expanded from the general Halloween folder)

I have been working with Osprey Therian on a parade for Halloween/Day of the Dead. Osprey has been long involved over in our sister city, Nova Albion. For her end, she is having folks group up in Grignano, go through Nova Albion and head for the Shermeville Bridge. She's also been trying to get some folks out of the sleepy suburbs to do their own parade to the bridge -- so far, without luck..

For our end, the parade will start ...

I managed to get through the first theme only by Hand-drawing(!!!) a map.... I am worried since there are so many scenes to come...*shudder*

I don't have an SLURL for the place.. but a search for maze of insanity should get you there.....

honestly... nothing better to replace the headache you might already have with an even bigger one!

Hi

thanks to a suggestion by Barnesworth I added two forums to the General announcements category: Commercial ads and Land sales. We both thought it would be alright if there was an official space for this, since most of us are business owners and know about the value of advertising..... even to those who share the profession..*G

Please leave plain advertising for services or items purely within the commercial ad forum. If you have special events running you can post them in the "individual ...

write a comment here or IM me in world with the name of your venue, how many treasures you would like to place and a landmark to where that will be.

I will then send you the treasure object (a hideous little ghost I made with my crude sculpting skills.. to be seen and felt sorry for on the shelf in Arthur's bar & cafe) as many times as you ordered, named with incresing numbers. They are full ...
