Self Introduction - Alx Zeiler

Hi all! My avatar is Alx Zeiler. I am a resident of Bay City in the Tanelorn neighborhood and have been since the city was founded. I wanted to introduce myself and tell a little about me.
In SL:
As I said, I live in Tanelorn, in the tall tower. As you can tell from the adjoining helipads, aircraft hangar and runway, aviation is one of my big passions in Second Life. I routinely fly planes all across the continent.
I dislike teleporting and avoid it whenever possible. For me, it ruins the entire experience - if you always teleport directly to your destination, you never end up anywhere unexpected, and that's no fun at all. I meet so many interesting people in SL on my way from one place to another. So if you hang out much in Bay City you'll probably see me walking around (or riding my Raptor), taking the Trolley along 66 or the canals. I absolutely love that Bay City has these - it makes the feeling of being in a city much more realistic. I don't fly around (without a vehicle) either, it's much more fun to conform to the system.
I also dislike rezzing my vehicles when I want to go anywhere. Those vehicles that I use often I keep in my hangar or on my helipads, ready to go when I need them. It makes things more realistic for me, and I like doing things realistically inside SL.
I am also an excellent LSL scripter (as a computer programmer in RL, scripting is a piece of cake) but a terrible artist and a very unimaginative builder. If you describe something to me I can probably build it, though not very well. I'm also bad with texturing.

My name is also Alex, though my RL spelling has an 'e' (I've considered changing this
). I'm a computer programmer by trade and work freelance out of my apartment. I live in Herndon, Virginia, in the Washington DC Metro area.
I'm 21 years old and have my bachelors degree in Computer Science from Virginia Tech.
So yeah, that's me
